Share Device

You can share devices to other users. After that, they can access the devices according to the permissions you configured for them. You can also receive devices shared by other users.

Overview

Device sharing allows you to grant access to your cameras and devices to other Guarding Vision users. You can control what operations they can perform on the devices by configuring specific permissions.

There are two main ways to share your devices:

Share a specific device by generating and showing its QR code to the recipient. This method is ideal when:

You want to share a single device quickly
The recipient is nearby and can scan the code immediately

You need to share multiple devices to the same person
You want to share cameras from different devices
You prefer a batch sharing approach

Device Permissions

When sharing devices, you can grant the following permissions to recipients:

Live View: View real-time video from the camera
Remote Playback: Play back recorded video footage
Device Control: Control PTZ movements and other device functions
Alarm Notifications: Receive alarm notifications from the device
Video Download: Download video clips
Device Settings: Modify device configuration (use with caution)

You can modify permissions at any time after sharing. Recipients will immediately gain or lose access based on your changes.

Managing

Shared Devices

After sharing devices, you can:

View all recipients: See who has access to each device
Edit permissions: Change what operations recipients can perform
Remove access: Delete recipient accounts and revoke all sharing

To manage your shared devices:

Go to the Me page
Tap Sharing Management
Select the device to view or edit sharing details

When you delete a recipient's access, they will immediately lose all permissions to the shared device(s).
